ALBUQUERQUE

With more than 556,495 residents, the City of Albuquerque in Bernalillo County is the population and commercial center of the state. Albuquerque is one of the most livable cities in the U.S., averaging more than 310 days of sunshine a year.

The city rests at the foot of the Sandia Mountains, which peaks at 10,678 feet. The Rio Grande River runs north to south, dividing the city in to four major quadrants: northeast, northwest, southeast, and southwest.
