At the 2021 Inaugural Annual Dinner and 505 Awards presentation, Albuquerque Economic Development, Inc. (AED) announced the organization’s new name, rebranding as the Albuquerque Regional Economic Alliance (AREA). The brand refresh included extensive research and planning to land on a name that both clarified AREA as a distinct entity, separate from others with similar names, and illustrated the organization’s broader future-looking focus.
