- VIP Weekend, Albuquerque
International Balloon Fiesta (October 2008)
AED hosted a VIP Weekend event to introduce
representatives from various companies to Albuquerque
during the AIBF. In attendance were those considering
the Albuquerque area as a site for their business'
expansion.
- SCHOTT Solar Groundbreaking
(March 2008)
On March 3rd SCHOTT Solar broke ground for its
$500 million solar product manufacturing plant
in Albuquerque, creating as many as 1,500 jobs
at peak production. The $100 million initial
investment will require 200,000 square-feet
and is expected to begin operations in early
2009 with 350 employees.

Symphony Orchestra (February 2008)
AED honored new and expanding businesses in
conjunction with a performance by the NMSO.
Representatives from new and expanding companies
and event sponsors were honored during the performance
and reception.
- Fidelity Investments
Welcoming Reception (January 2008)
AED co-hosted a reception to welcome Fidelity
to the Albuquerque metro area. The event was
held at the UNM President's House and was attended
by Fidelity representatives as well as business
and community leaders.

Lunch (January 2008)
AED hosted an honorary lunch at the Artichoke
Cafe to greet company officials and give recognition
to those who worked to bring SCHOTT to Albuquerque.

- Energy Summit of
the Sandias Albuquerque, NM (December 2008)
AED sponsored and attended this event,
which focused on the various issues confronting
the energy industry. In attendance were energy
company representatives, investors, and entrepreneurs.
- Forbes Energy Conference
New York City (November 2008)
This forum gave AED the exclusive opportunity
to network with representatives from some of
the world's largest energy companies and attend
educational sessions centered around the energy
industry.
- Solar Power International/SEMICON
San Diego, CA (October 2008)
AED attended this combined trade show to meet
with the world's leading solar energy and semiconductor
companies to discuss Albuquerque as a potential
location for business expansion.
- Industrial Asset
Management Council Oklahoma City (September
2008)
This event brought together site selectors,
corporate real estate representatives, and economic
development professionals to discuss the corporate
real estate market. AED attended this event
and sponsored an educational breakout session
centered around the energy industry .

Association Mirror Tech Days Albuquerque (August
2008)
AED attended this event and worked
alongside CABQ's ED at a booth to meet with
representatives of various optics firms to present
the benefits of expanding their companies in
the Albuquerque area.
- Cannes, France
and Munich, Germany (June 2008)
AED had the opportunity to market the Albuquerque
area to executives representing some of the
largest corporations in the world during the
Forbes CEO Europe event held in Cannes, France.
While in Europe, AED arranged a marketing event
around the Intersolar conference in Munich,
Germany, which is the largest solar industry
event in the world with over 1,000 exhibitors
presenting their solar energy related products
and services.

AED was a sponsor of this event, which brought
together executives from international corporations.
AED had the opportunity to meet with numerous
executive to create awareness of Albuquerque
as a site for corporate expansion and relocation.

Germany (June 2008)
AED attended Intersolar, which is the largest
solar energy conference in the world. AED met
with exhibitors and representatives from leading
solar energy related companies.

Summit San Diego (May 2008)
Representatives of AED staffed a booth at the
event and met with many corporate real estate
professionals and site consultants to market
the Albuquerque area as an ideal site for corporate
expansion and relocation.

Management Council Phoenix, AZ (April 2008)
AED attended this event and met with corporate
real estate executives, site selection professionals,
and economic developers.
