AREA and CBRE Release Annual Greater Albuquerque Region Talent & Industry Profile
Albuquerque Regional Economic Alliance and CBRE in Albuquerque have released an updated and interactive online report featuring advantages for business in the market
(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) June 6, 2023 – The Albuquerque Regional Economic Alliance (AREA) and CBRE announce the release of the updated Greater Albuquerque Region Talent & Industry Profile, an annual report providing an in-depth snapshot of the region’s key economic development assets.
The report provides information such as company testimonials, demographic information, details on the strong diversity in the market workforce and the future talent pipeline, quality of life amenities, cost of living, private sector expansion potential, incentives and more.
“The greater Albuquerque region is one of the most dynamic, diverse and innovative communities in the nation, and industries are realizing its unlimited potential,” said Jim Chynoweth, Managing Director for CBRE in Albuquerque. “We are rapidly losing our status as a well-kept secret.”
- The report’s findings include:
23.8% of greater Albuquerque’s population is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish - 60% of the workforce identifies as a person of color
- 24% of aerospace engineers and operations techs in the region are female
Between 2017-2022, the number of residents in the greater Albuqeurque region with associate’s degrees grew by 19%, compared to 11% growth in the U.S. Supporting this growthtuition-free college and career training through the New Mexico Opportunity Scholarship which offers New Mexico residents free tuition and fees at New Mexico public colleges and universities.
