Leah Jones

Business Development Project Manager

Albuquerque Regional Economic Alliance (AREA)

Leah Jones serves as a Business Development Project Manager at AREA, and in this role, she utilizes her background in business operations and project management to encourage economic growth throughout the greater Albuquerque region. Leah has lived in New Mexico her whole life and even attended the University of New Mexico to obtain both her BBA in Marketing Management and her MS in Project Management, and she is greatly looking forward to using her abilities to support AREA’s goals of creating opportunity in her home state.

Previous to her time at AREA, Leah worked at Sandia National Laboratories as a Business Operations Intern supporting technical customers with a wide range of projects. From supporting lab technicians to program leads, Leah has been able to provide customers with financial analysis, scheduling support, and other project management support. Her experience thus far in her career has built a firm foundation for her future, in which she hopes to continue building upon her current skillset and taking on new challenges. In her free time, she loves traveling, reading, and attending live music events!
