Howie Herbert III

U.S. Bank

Howie Herbert III is a 20-year veteran of U.S. Bank and its predecessor institution in New Mexico, First Community Bank. He is currently Vice President NM Community RM Team Manager and manages the Albuquerque Business Banking Team. Prior to his current role, Howie was VP NM Commercial Real Estate Team Lead focusing on larger more complex CRE lending relationships. While at First Community Bank, Howie was SVP Treasurer and VP Corporate Controller. Prior to making the move to the banking industry in 2002, Howie worked in KPMG LLP’s assurance practice, focusing on clients in the financial services industry.

Howie serves on the boards of the New Mexico Chamber of Commerce, the New Mexico Society of CPAs, and is a member of the Corporate Council for NDI New Mexico. Howie has been a Board of Director of Carlo Inc. since 2018 and joined the New Mexico Amigos in 2022. He is also a past President of Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation.

Howie received his Bachelor of Accountancy Degree with Honors from New Mexico State University and earned a graduate-level certificate in Business Banking from Pacific Coast Banking School as well as an Executive Leadership Certificate from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. Howie has been a licensed CPA in New Mexico since 2001.
