Registration now open for AREA’s 3rd Annual Dinner and 505 Awards

(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) July 10, 2023 –The Albuquerque Regional Economic Alliance (AREA) has opened registration for its 3rd annual 505 Awards and Dinner.

The theme for the 2023 505 Leadership in Economic Development Awards and Annual Dinner is ‘AREA 51’ and is sure to be out of this world. The event recognizes individuals in the community who demonstrate exemplary leadership in economic development.

Nominations for the awards have concluded and recognize categories such as Community Leadership, Small Business Champion, Lifetime of Leadership, and the Rising Star Award, among others. This year’s event will be held at the Isleta Resort and Casino, located at 11000 Broadway Boulevard S.E. on Thursday, November 16, from 5 – 9 p.m.

Among some of the 2022 winners, Sherman McCorkle was recognized for the Lifetime in Leadership in Economic Development award, Bow and Arrow Brewing received the Small Business Champion Award, and the Rio Grande Community Development Corporation was awarded the Community Leadership Award.
