Albuquerque Regional Economic Alliance (AREA) Recruits Director of Stakeholder and Public Relations

Jessica Priego Leading Efforts to Strengthen Awareness of Region’s Value Proposition Among Key Stakeholders, Investors and Local/National Media

(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) –Jessica Priego recently joined the Albuquerque Regional Economic Alliance (AREA) as its Director of Stakeholder and Public Relations as the organization strengthens its executive staff roster in an effort to advance its newly adopted five-year strategic plan.

Ms. Priego brings more than 20 years of non-profit, corporate and agency experience in branding, public relations, marketing, stakeholder relations and strategic planning to her newly created role at AREA. Jessica has a strong track-record of success in creating national and regional strategies for stakeholder engagement and for building communications campaigns that deliver results. Jessica has served as the head of advertising and multicultural marketing for the Chicago White Sox where she was tasked with helping to build the team’s fan base and driving financial results. Jessica has also served as the National Manager of Multicultural Public Relations at Sears, Roebuck and Co., and led the establishment of the diversity and inclusion practice for the Hudson Highland Group, a global search and staffing firm with a niche in C-suite placements in the mid-2000s. For more than 17 years Jessica has been a successful small business owner through her boutique communications consultancy, Truth Purpose.

Jessica’s past clients include but are not limited to; the Cesar Chavez Foundation, the National Council of La Raza, the National Museum of Mexican Art, Cook County Assessor’s Office (Chicago), MasterCard International, the Chicago Bulls, Merck, Allstate Insurance, Minute Maid, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Doheny Eye Institute.

Jessica is a former City of Los Angeles Commissioner for the El Pueblo Historical Monument and was named a Top 50 Woman of Influence by the LA Business Journal in 2016. Jessica has received industry awards ranging from PR Week and CIPRA recognition for social marketing campaigns to Gold and Silver Anvils for creative development of advertising targeting urban youth. Jessica serves as part of the President’s Circle for the National Museum of Mexican Art and was named a ‘Nueva Estrella Latina’ by Verizon for her leadership in small business management.
