TLC Plumbing Named Excellence in Workforce Development Award Honoree
Awards Program Recognizes Leadership in Economic Development

Albuquerque, NM – Albuquerque Economic Development, Inc. announced TLC Plumbing as the Excellence in Workforce Development Award recipient for the third annual 505 Awards, which recognize organizations and individuals that are making exceptional contributions to economic growth and prosperity in the Albuquerque metro area, resulting in improvements to the region’s overall economic strength.

The Excellence in Workforce Development Award, sponsored by Facebook, recognizes an organization that has played a leading role in workforce readiness, including the implementation of training and educational programs, the sponsorship of scholarship or grant programs, the creation of internship or mentorship programs, or other efforts to develop long-term job skills and career pathways for the region’s workforce.

“We congratulate TLC Plumbing and extend our gratitude—on behalf of the Albuquerque community—for their commitment to making a positive impact on our local economy,” said Danielle Casey, AED President & CEO. “We know that the past two years have posed significant challenges, and we honor TLC for their hard work and excellence in workforce readiness and development.”

“New Mexico has a great opportunity to create a thriving economy where each New Mexican, each business and all our co-workers can make an impact.  AED can bring the companies to New Mexico, however we have to have the workforce to fill their needs.  At TLC we have focused for years to grow a workforce that helps TLC to be a top performer, while actually making a positive impact on the entire community,” said Armstrong

Honorees were selected from nominations that took place in the summer. Nominations were open from any source, and to be considered, nominees were required to accept their nominations and provide follow-up documentation of their work.

TLC Plumbing, along with the remaining 505 Awards honorees, will be recognized at the inaugural celebration from 6–9pm on December 9 at Hotel Albuquerque. The event, sponsored by True Health New Mexico, will combine AED’s annual business meeting, a year in review presentation, a look ahead to the future, and the 505 Awards celebration
