SUMMARY:Aug. 10\, 2023: Building a Regional Economy
DESCRIPTION:Economic development is a team sport. To win\, anything that can be done to minimize risk for business operations will enhance the community’s probability of success for new business investment. \nGiven high costs of construction\, low vacancy\, and minimal construction activty\, the underdeveloped market in greater Albuquerque pushes rents to be some of the highest amongst a competitive set of metropolitan peers. For greater Albuquerque and New Mexico to win\, targeted infrastructure and facility development on key sites will be required to support higher value manufacturing and research and development facilities. \nJoin us for another episode of our regional educational programming\, where we will provide updates on AREA’s activity\, an overview of the importance of regional economic development collaboration\, and a conversation about site readiness. \nEvent will be hosted at HB Construction’s headquarters at 3010 Monte Vista Blvd NE\, Albuquerque\, NM 87106. Please note: parking for this event will be limited. Arrive early for best availability. This event will also be partially located outdoors. Refreshments will be provided. \nRegister Here!

Through every decade Beth has worked in the staffing industry there have been changes and challenges.  Incredible changes have taken place in our economy\, technology\, social\, political\, environmental\, education\, generational\, health\, cultural plus many more.  Beth knows how to navigate through change and challenging times. Though each challenge is different\, at the core of what is impacted are people. The staffing industry allows Beth the unique opportunity to affect change by changing peoples lives. Having the ability to place people in a job changes that persons life.  Having the opportunity to place people in a job with a company\, changes that company no matter how small or large the change is.  And\, having the ability to do that over a long period of time and with literally thousands of people and companies is Beth’s greatest honor. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Joe Mercadante\, Practice Director\, Finance and Accounting – Permanent Placement\, Robert Half\nFor over 15 years\, Joe Mercadante has been placing accounting and finance talent with top employers throughout Central and Northern New Mexico.  In addition to being the Vice President/Practice Director of Robert Half’s Accounting and Finance practice group\, Joe is also a multi-million-dollar producer and Presidents Club award recipient.  Joe has acquired experience in all facets of Hiring\, Recruitment\, Compensation and Business Development\, including roles as Site Employment Manager with a Fortune 500 manufacturer; Senior Career Consultant with a consulting firm and Practice Director with Robert Half. \nGrowing up in Albuquerque\, Joe has developed a passion for seeing our business community grow and be successful.  He thrives on championing individuals to realize their career objectives and helping employers obtain the talent they need to grow their company.  \nJoe is regularly sought out for his expertise regarding local job market\, hiring trends and salaries by employers and job seekers\, Albuquerque Economic Development\, reporters\, and guest spots on FOX New Mexico Living. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Misty Sanders\, SHRM-SCP\, Director of HR\, French Funerals & Cremations\nMisty Sanders\, Director of Human Resources for French Funerals-Cremations\, moved to New Mexico from North Idaho in 2011 and happily now calls this home.
